Frequently Asked Questions
How Does laser Hair Removal Work?
Laser Hair Removal works by selectively heating your hair shaft which heats and thermally damages your hair follicle. Permanently damaged hair follicle will stop hair growth. As hair grow in 3 different stages and only “growth” stage hair will be effectively treated you would need to undergo multiple treatments to be as effective as possible. Please watch the video below where we describe Laser Hair Removal procedure in great details. It will take about 2 minutes of your time but it totally worth it.
How Permanent is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is PERMANENT once the hair follicle is destroyed. Some of the hair follicles will be injured and your body will recover/heal those. Recovered hair follicles will regrow with time. This is one of the reasons you would need to have 6 treatments on average. Older you are less regrowth you might see down the road.
While laser hair removal is permanent, you would need to take into consideration that only affected and thermally damaged hair follicles would be permanently damaged and will stop hair growth. Laser Hair removal will not be able to prevent future hair growth of hair that were dormant (were not growing) during the laser hair removal procedure.
Is it Worth Getting Laser Hair Removal?
You bet! During your life, you can spend tens of thousands of dollars on Waxing and Shaving. Besides the inconvenience of constantly shaving/waxing, you might get irritation on your skin from rubbing against freshly growing hair. So short answer would be YES, it does worth getting laser hair removal. Laser Hair Removal results are permanent, unlike shaving or waxing where you need to continue shaving or waxing in perpetuity.
How many treatments would I need for laser hair removal?
It depends. It depends on your skin type, your hair color/thickness, how deep they grow in the skin, and also in general how healthy person you are. There might be other factors contributing to uncertainty such as medications you might take, hormonal changes in your body, genetics, etc…
As a rule of thumb, we would say you would need 4-6 treatments to get rid of the majority of your hair. However, this would also greatly depends on your age. Younger you are – more treatments you would need. Hairier you are – more treatments you might need.
How do I make sure/quantify if it worked for me?
Take a photo of your hair coverage on your skin BEFORE you start your first treatment! For example. Should you plan hair removal for your legs; take a photo of your legs to say before shaving! This way you would have a reference point. Once you completed 4-6 treatments do the same, take a photo of your legs and compare results. You will see quite some difference!
Should I prepare for Laser Hair Removal?
Yes please! Here is a list of MUST DOs to prepare:
1. Please shave 1-2 days before your appointment day. We do NOT and will NOT shave you!
2. Please refrain from sun bathing 2-3 weeks prior to your treatment and do not tan/sun bath, or go to tanning boots 2-3 weeks before and 2-3 weeks after the treatment.
Please note, that pregnant or nursing women can not be treated for Laser Hair Removal! No exceptions.
Why do I need to shave before the appointment for Laser Hair Removal?
Laser will fire against your skin during the treatment. Your hair shaft will absorb laser light, will heat/burn (throughout its full length) and will thermally damage your hair follicles (that’s how laser hair removal works). So we need hair shaft to be present in your skin at the time of treatment. On another hand hair above your skin will burn as well, but to no use and will cause unnecessary skin damage/burns. This is why we do not need hair above the skin! Just shave them. NO waxing though! Remember, we need hair shaft inside your skin to be there at the time of treatment.
Is it painful, how it feels to do a Laser Hair Removal?
Laser Hair Removal procedure feels like spanking with rubber band. It is way less painful than waxing! We use dual cooling system (cryogenic spray and chilled air) to reduce discomfort and make Laser Hair Removal Procedure as comfortable as possible. You will be fine!
I am real baby and have low pain tolerance. Does it hurt?
You might be surprised but majority of those “real babies” were not just fine but reported more positive experience than anticipated!
How do you know safe settings for my skin type?

This allows us to safely treat any skin type from very pale white to very dark brown skin! During your initial skin test/assessment we will go over the settings with you.
Do you have Electrolysis?
No, we do not offer Electrolysis services and do not know who does! Please google for those or consider Laser Hair Removal! Thank you
How does Sublative Striae (stretch marks) & Cellulite Reduction Works?
Sublative technology is neither laser nor light based. Instead, this one-of-a-kind technology uses fractionated bi-polar radiofrequency directed to the skin in the form of a matrix. This fractional delivery of RF energy causes micro-epidermal ablative injuries with wider spread dermal coagulation. This initiates a strong wound healing response in the dermal matrix while also minimizing the damage to the epidermis. Less affected tissue surrounding the matrix points may be stimulated by heat which helps accelerate the healing process, leading to a smoother, more elastic appearance of the skin. Striae are reduced and less pronounced, and discoloration is reduced.
How Does Sublative Skin Tightening and Wrinkle Reduction works?
The ergonomic Sublative™ applicator delivers bipolar radio frequency energy via a matrix of 64 electrodes in the disposable applicator tip. The RF energy generates fractional deep dermal heating in the region of the electrode matrix to induce skin injury, thus eliciting a wound healing response. Striae and acne scars as well as mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discoloration are reduced, and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic.
What kind of laser do you use?
We use the best and newest GentleMax Pro laser equipment from Syneron Candela. Our lasers have 2 laser modules to safely treat all skin types from very pale to very dark.
